Cara Taubman, MD, MPH

Dr. Cara Taubman is an emergency physician with disaster medicine and emergency management expertise. She currently practices medicine at New York City Health + Hospitals/ Harlem, where she is the Clinical Director for Emergency Management and the Associate Director of the Emergency Department. Dr. Taubman graduated from New York Medical College with an MD and MPH and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers. After her residency, she went on to a Global Emergency Medicine fellowship at Columbia University and a Disaster Medicine Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess/Harvard Medical School, where she stayed on as faculty after graduation. She has worked with the Ministries of Health in both Ghana and Rwanda and for Doctors Without Borders.
