CURRENT ENVIRONMENTAL
COUNCIL PROJECTS
The major current focus of the environmental
council is the development of a brochure for health professionals'
offices describing the crisis of biodiversity loss and its
implications for human health. It's intent will be to illuminate
for our patients/clients the connection between environmental
and human health. This is being pursued in association with
the National
Association of Physicians for the Environment (NAPE).
Another project of the environmental council
is to update the WMS website to include environmental council
projects, including the slide set, and to establish links
with other organizations in the biomedical and conservation
communities with interests in health and the environment.
Please contact me (information below) if
you would like to contribute to these projects or have other
areas of interest that you'd like to see the environmental
council become involved in. The brochure project especially
needs someone with artistic or graphic design skills; the
internet project would benefit from the skills of a "cyberly-gifted"
individual. I welcome any and all creative input.
