We invite you to join us in February and Combine Your Profession With Your Passion™ at the Wilderness Medical Society’s Winter Conference: Wilderness & Mountain Medicine February 15-20, 2013. This year’s conference will focus on mountain travel, wilderness medicine and Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.
Leading the worldwide community in Wilderness Medicine, the 2013 WMS Winter Conference will provide the most advanced information in the fields of avalanche, cold injuries, and high altitude illnesses, as well as a specialized panel discussing the dreaded gastrointestinal disorders in the wilderness, and more. We have assembled the world’s leading experts in mountain and wilderness medicine to teach the core curriculum.
At this conference, the WMS will continue the exciting new program in association with the University of Utah and the University of Colorado – the Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM) This program is designed to train participants in the essentials of mountain medicine and rescue in technical alpine environments. The International Diploma in Mountain Medicine has set the standard over the past 10 years in Europe and other parts of the world for education of doctors, nurses, and medics in mountain medicine and rescue.
Whether you are a family practitioner advising patients, an accomplished expedition doctor working on your Fellowship in Wilderness Medicine, or just beginning to gain an interest in wilderness medicine, the WMS Winter Wilderness & Mountain Medicine Meeting provides an exceptional opportunity for you to sharpen your knowledge and skills and form new and lasting friendships.
