Park City, Utah is approximately 36 miles from Salt Lake International Airport, a Delta hub and host to many other airlines.  And it’s an easy drive from many points in the West on  the Interstate Highway system.

Located in the legendary town of Park City, The Canyons is Utah’s largest single ski and snowboard resort blessed yearly with the legendary Utah powder that makes the state a mecca for winter sports.  With over 3,700 acres, 163 runs, 17 lifts, 2 cutting-edge terrain parks and 6 natural half pipes, there is never a chance that you will get bored on the mountain.  It goes on for days here.  The trails.  The snowfall.  The fun (thecanyons.com)

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are three lodging options for you to choose from.

  • Rising five stories above the heart of The Canyons Resort Village, the Sundial Lodge is in the center of all the action at The Canyons.  Just steps away from the slopes, you will be able to enjoy its rooftop hot bus, outdoor heated swimming pool and exercise room.  Rates range from $219 per night for a guestroom up to $649 for a two-bedroom suite.
  • The Silverado Lodge is right across the street from the Resort Village and a short walk to the gondola.  It was masterfully designed for the most discriminating of tastes.  Rates range from $259 per night for a guestroom up to $649 for a two bedroom suite.
  • The Grand Summit Hotel is the jewel in the crown.  It is a ski-in/ski-out, AAA Four Diamond Resort (one of only a handful in Utah) that indulges guests with an outdoor heated pool, gourmet dining and warm, inviting gathering areas.  Room rate is $319 per night.

Check-in time is after 5:00 pm; check-out time is before 11:00 am.

RESERVATIONS AND CUT-OFF DATE: To take advantage of the special Group Rates being offered to the Wilderness Medical Society, please call The Canyons Resort directly at 888-226-9667 before Monday, January 4, 2010 and mention that you will be attending the WMS Winter Meeting.

DEPOSIT: Two nights lodging is due within ten days of booking your reservation.  Final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival.  Reservations booked between 45 and 31 days of arrival are required to pay in full within five days of booking the reservation.  Reservations booked within 30 days of arrival are required to pay in full at time of booking.

CANCELLATION: Reservations cancelled between receipt of deposit and 46 days prior to arrival forfeit a $50 cancellation fee.  Cancellations between 45 and 31 days of arrival forfeit two nights lodging, and cancellations within 30 days of arrival forfeit the entire amount.  No refund for late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, or downgrades.

SKIING, BOARDING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Lift Tickets:  Purchase your lift tickets at the discounted group rate when you register for the conference and save!  The one-day group lift ticket rate is $58 per day.
